drive-by shooting
I pulled out the owner’s manual for my digital camera this evening and happened to see the following admonition in the safety notes at the back:
Never attempt to take pictures while in motion. Do not use the camera while you are walking or driving a vehicle. This can result in you falling down or being involved in a traffic accident.
Oops.

I always wanted to take a picture of myself in my rear-view mirror to use for my blog picture and then title my blog something cool like No Looking Back. (Yeah, I know, that would so kill, right?) But I could never get the right angle while trying to drive.

I really like that your camera manual warns you that you might fall down if you try to take a photo while walking. How often has that happened, really? I mean aside from in the movie “Yes Man” when the girl has a running and photography club.

Bone: Maybe you should practice while the car is safely parked in your driveway. (Good luck convincing your neighbors that you’re not vain/high/paparazzi!)
Laura: My favorite Safety Note from the camera manual is this: “Do not place heavy objects on the camera. This can cause the heavy object to tip over or fall and cause injury.”
Hahaha. Is nobody worried about the well-being of the CAMERA?

Justin: Yeah, there’s more where that came from…
But on a cycle? Nice!
